Plagiarism And Online Marketing

Well, totally off topic, I think I broke my hand yesterday. So one hand typing is not so much fun and I wanted to add something new to this blog anyhow. So I figured if we were going to be talking about plagiarism, I would have to plagiarize something myself in this very article to see if it gets penalized by Google or not. We all know that using other peoples work that is not sited is morally wrong and in some cases legally wrong as well.

Keep on reading to understand plagiarism and professional online marketing concepts that will help you grow a rock solid business content system that will keep your sites listed higher and ranked longer.

So What Is Plagairism?
Many people think of plagiarism as copying another's work, or borrowing someone else's original ideas. But terms like "copying" and "borrowing" can disguise the seriousness of the offense: According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, to "plagiarize" means to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own,  to use (another's production) without crediting the source,  to commit literary theft to present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source. In other words, plagiarism is an act of fraud. It involves both stealing someone else's work and lying about it afterward.

Need content for your site, just outsource content creation, don't plagiarize.

Academic Plagiarism Stance

Research-based writing in American institutions, both educational and corporate, is filled with rules that writers, particularly beginners, aren't aware of or don't know how to follow. Many of these rules have to do with research and proper citation. Gaining a familiarity of these rules, however, is critically important, as inadvertent mistakes can lead to charges of plagiarism, which is the uncredited use (both intentional and unintentional) of somebody else's words or ideas.

While some cultures may not insist so heavily on documenting sources of words, ideas, images, sounds, etc., American culture does. A charge of plagiarism can have severe consequences, including expulsion from a university or loss of a job, not to mention a writer's loss of credibility and professional standing. This resource, which does not reflect any official university policy, is designed to help you develop strategies for knowing how to avoid accidental plagiarism.

Choosing to create your own unique online content will always be worth your while even if you are a slow typist!

Isn't Creating Unique Content A Waste Of Time?

It does take time to write real unique information and if you are not knowledgeable on the topic, purchasing unique content can be expensive. However, if places on high ranking 3rd party sites and used in combination with a powerful link wheel or link magnet, these unique articles can pass on Google juice for years to come and help you strengthen the standings of any site you link into from them. There is a real value from fresh unique content that simply cannot be matched by using the new “SEO Tool” of the week or paying for spun content.
